Why should I sign up for a Graduate Premium Plan?
Because you can only benefit from using it! If you plan on making on-campus dining purchases anyway, why not get either the 5% or the 10% enrichment and rid yourself of the hassle of paying a monthly bill?

What if I don’t spend all of my funds by the end of the term?
Don’t worry! Your funds will roll-over so you won’t feel like you have to buy 10 boxes of laundry detergent at the end of each term. If you still haven’t used up all your funds by the time you graduate or leave the university, you can get up to $50 refunded to you on the $300 plan or $100 refunded on the $600 plan.

At which on-campus locations will I be able to use my Graduate Premium Plan funds?
Graduate Premium Plan funds may be used at ALL Caltech dining locations including the Chandler Cafe, the Red Door Cafe, Citrus Bistro, the Broad Cafe, and the C-store. Also, Smartcash funds may be used at library photocopy machines and at on-campus laundry machines.

Will I be able to purchase food off-campus with the Graduate Premium Plan?
YES! You will have the option of allocating a portion of your funds (up to $75 on the $300 plan or up to $200 on the $600 plan) to SmartCash which will enable you to make purchases at a number of local dining favorites like Sharky’s Mexican Grill, Fraedo’s Pizza, and Burger Continental at which you will get a 10%, 15%, and 20% discount respectively.*
